The picture behind the quote really grabbed me and I thought it was a perfect background to this weeks motivation. The little girl on the right may not be tall enough for her leg to reach the bar, her foot may not be as gracefully placed on the bar, and she definitely needs a stool, but she’s making what she’s got work for her.
Maybe you have a family, a full-time job, 3 kids with soccer and baseball practice, responsibility for a sick relative, or very limited finances. Or maybe a combination of those things?
Whatever your circumstances, it’s okay to:
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
If your week looks more busy than normal, even 5 minutes here and there to take care of yourself and schedule a social media post is okay. If a blog post can only be 800 words instead of 1500 words, so be it. If you have to edit a post on your phone at soccer practice, so be it. Everyone has ultra busy seasons in their life. Do what you can.
Sure this blogging journey would be more awesome if you had tools like LeadPages, ConvertKit, and the pro versions of Buzzsumo and SumoMe. But maybe $200 a month isn’t available to you right now. If you’re serving your audience well and making it work with free versions of MailChimp, Evernote, and Excel, so be it. Do what you can, with what you have.
While planning, brainstorming, dreaming, and making ginormous goals absolutely has a place in your business plan, don’t forget the special place you are in currently. What you say this week will resonate with a reader. Appreciate the one or two blog comments or the 5 retweets. Show gratitude and do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Those little things this week that you accomplish are needed and part of the bigger plan. Just keep moving!
